Day 2 of the O Canada Blogathon, and we have some great entries today!
It’s been another fun day of cinematic travels across the Great White North, as the #OCanada blogathon celebrates Canadian films, actors, settings and subjects.
Bloggers: If we didn’t include your post today, it will appear in tomorrow’s recap. Also please note the original announcement post is being updated throughout the blogathon to archive all the recaps and posts.
Today we saw great writing that covered the nation from coast to coast:
Niagara (1953) romance and murder plots by the glorious Falls
Mon Oncle Antoine (1971) the story of youth in a Quebec mining town
Susannah of the Mounties (1939) Shirley Temple visits Alberta
Anne of Green Gables (1934), the spunky P.E.I redhead
Douglass Dumbrille, familiar character actor from Ontario
The Trap (1966), shot in British Columbia
Fiend Without a Face (1958) Manitoba is featured in this movie with brains
Make sure to join Silver Screenings for Day 3 of the #OCanada Blogathon!

Ooh! I want to see the 1934 film version of Anne of Green Gables. 💖

Me too!! I think a person can watch it in segments on YouTube, which isn’t ideal, but better than nothing.

What a collection! Then again, any listing that starts with “Niagara” has got to be good. By the way, Ruth, I’ve relatives in Manitoba. Should I warn them about that faceless fiend?

Ha ha! Doesn’t that fiend/Manitoba movie look great? I must see it! You might want to tell your relatives to be on the look-out, just in case.
