Dear Reader, you’re probably fretting about what to get us for our birthday.

Fortunately we’re not difficult to shop for, especially once the online auction invaluable.com commences at the end of this month.

Why are we excited about this auction? Only because approx. 1,700 vintage Hollywood items are up for sale.

Never mind that the auction features this dress, worn by Lucille Ball in I Love Lucy:

Lot 951: Lucille Ball signature "Lucy Ricardo" polka dot dress

…or this vintage Dr. Strangelove movie poster, direct from France:

Just look at all these great scripts!

Can you imagine owning some of these great vintage scripts? We certainly can!

The invaluable.com auction will be held June 29 – July 1, and will start at 11:00am PST each of the three days.

“The three-day auction has a range of items from recent films like X-Men, Star Trek, and James Bond, to old Hollywood movies and their stars, including Marilyn Monroe, Clark Gable, Greta Garbo, Jean Harlow, and more,” say our pals on the Invaluable Team.

How fabulous is that?

Here’s the main link to the auction.

Now, please excuse us while we do a bit of shopping.

Disclosure: We were introduced to this auction by invaluable.com. We do not profit from this post at all – unless, of course, auction staff want to toss a vintage original script our way…

Happily blogging about old movies and using the royal "We".
