We hope you can join us for this Crush Fest!
Sometimes an experience is so much fun that you cannot wait to do it again. This impulse is one of the reasons why people keep revisiting amusement parks and beaches, museums and restaurants. The comfort of the familiar, when hitched to the promise of a fresh, unpredictable variation, is pretty thrilling to the average human.
We’re no different. Thus…
while a blogathon is marvelous, a yearly blogathon is one step better on the scale from here to fabulous!
On that note, along with my co-hostess with the mostest, Ruth of Silver Screenings, I’m happy to announce the return of the Reel Infatuation Blogathon!
Help Lucy Spread the Word
It’s time to sharpen your pencils and start thinking about your favorite character crushes. They can come from film, television, or books. Remember: the character is the thing. We want to hear about specific character crushes, not generically dreamy performers. To learn more…

And I’m so glad you’re joining us! “The Bad Seed” doesn’t get a lot of attention these days, despite it being a terrific film.

I’m sorry. I’m confused. Is this on your blog or facebook or twitter or…? I’ve been reading the rules from last year and this year and I’m befuddled. Help… Thanks!

We’ll be posting daily recaps on the blog, and will be tweeting each entry. Christina might have news about the blogathon generally on Facebook… (I’m not on FB, so I can’t say for sure, sadly.) But it’s the same type of set-up as the Villains blogathon.

Hi there! Sorry for the delay in replying – I’m out of town with limited Web access. I can check into this when I’m back home in a couple of days.
And yes, it is no problem to make that change.

Ruth! June 28th is the deadline for Reel Infatuation! Hhm I do have an unbridled crush on David Soul as Kenneth Hutchinson in Starsky and Hutch from the 1970s! They are even offering a special ride in the striped tomato with David Soul and Paul Michael Glazer, but I’d never have enough money to bid on the chance to spend an evening with these guys who really push the boundaries of the male cop friendships on television in the 70s. David Soul’s character is just the kind of guy I would have fallen in love with, even with his 70s sideburns and various gorgeous leather jackets… deep sigh… It looks like a great Blogathon!
