It’s time once again for the Big Bad Blogathon event where you’re invited to feature your favourite movie villain(s).

Your hosts are Ruth of Silver Screenings, Karen of Shadows & Satin and Kristina of Speakeasy.

The rules are simple:

Just pick any evildoer, outlaw or monster, from any era, country or genre. From creeps to cads to criminals, sinners and psychos, all movie villains are welcome.

Next, check the list further down this page to make sure your topic hasn’t already been chosen (villains covered in previous years are fair game)…

        I’d love to (Harry Powell would be mine) but I’m snowed under with creative writing (I’ll explain soon) so can’t commit to anything at the moment.

    Here’s another case where one of your banners would be perfect for me, except I’ve already committed to write about “Whatever Happened To Baby Jane?” for another previous blog-a-thon.

    That’s why I’d like to give this blog-a-thon a peek at Eddie Albert’s “Warden Hazen” from the original 1974 version of “The Longest Yard.”

    It seems like a natural for the “sports” guy.

    I was wondering when this was going to be announced again, because it wasn’t on last year. I just have to think of a rather unique villain that has never been claimed before.

    Speaking of that Frankenstein face, Karloff may have been the villain, but the real hero was Jack Pierce, the make-up man who, with few cues from Mary Shelley, created the face that would haunt the popular imagination for more than a century.
