Ladies, is it that time of year already?!
I’m in a western mood and would like to share my girlish affection for Tom Destry as portrayed by Audie Murphy in Destry, 1954.

Awesome! I’ll add you to the roster tonight. So glad you can join us.
Also, it’s very weird you chose an Audie Murphy character, because I was considering Audie myself!

Your poster reminded me of my love for Jane Richards as played by Dorothy Dandridge in Bright Road (1953). Also, Paro as played by the brilliant Suchitra Sen in the film Devdas (1955).

Bright Roads is one I still have to see. Thanks for dropping by! 🙂

There are so many to choose from. But I’ll take Robert De Niro in Midnight Run.
If I could do two characters, I’d include Charles Grodin from that film. He and De Niro are like the Odd Couple on the road. Hilarious! 🙂

Great idea! I’ll put you down for both characters. This will be good!

Hi! This is lovely! May I please write about Sister Luke in The Nun’s Story? Having a crush on a nun may seem odd, but I just love Audrey in the film & the character is so gutsy

Oh yes, absolutely! Audrey is so good in that film. I’m very happy you’re joining us. 🙂

Hello Ruth! I’ve made my decision and I’m quite pleased with it. I would love to write about Robert Young as David Linden in ‘The Shining Hour’ (1938). I’ve long had eyes for him and this is the perfect opportunity to pen an overdue love letter. 😀

Great choice! Although I’m not familiar with this film, I think it’s always an opportune time to write a love letter to Robert Young. I’ll add you to the roster when I’m back at my computer.

Thank you! 😀 It’s the first film in which I saw Robert and I just completely melted. I’ve seen him in many subsequent films and he is always the highlight for me. And yes, I’ll be honest – I wanted him to prevail in ‘Secret Agent’. 😉

Thanks for co-hosting this with me, Ruth! You’re the best. I cannot wait to discover everyone’s choices.

This was tough to narrow down…so, of course, I’m going with two choices: Leopold Dilg (Cary Grant) and Michael Lightcap (Ronald Colman) in 1942’s The Talk of the Town. Because of these guys, I basically want to be Jean Arthur in this film, haha.

Great choices!! They make me want to be Jean Arthur too! I can’t wait to read this. 🙂

For me, it will always be Keanu Reeves as John Wick:-)

Is there a new John Wick movie coming out soon?

The third one is coming out soon I think😊

Ah, this is great! I’d love to write about Michelle Pfeiffer in The Fabulous Baker Boys. It also happens to be the thirtieth anniversary of the film, so that’s a nice connection, too.

That would be awesome! I’m looking forward to it. I’ll add you to the list later today, when I’m back at my computer. So happy you can join us!

Can I do two? One for TV and one for film?
I’m excited to participate in this blogathon. I loved oohing and ahhing over Moondoggie last year.
This is pretty nerdy, but I’m going with it:
For TV, Greg Brady in “The Brady Bunch”
For film, Rick Blaine in “Casablanca”
Thanks!

Dear Ruth,
I would like to participate in this great blogathon again! I would like to write about one of Dr. Kildare’s casual suits in one of the nine MGM films in the Dr. Kildare series from 1938-1942, played by Lew Ayres. This would also be part of my weekly series about costumes in movies, Film Fashion Fridays. I would highlight how fascinating I find this character, in a white coat or a suit. Is that alright?
Yours Hopefully,
Tiffany Brannan

Hey Ruth. I’ve been mulling over character crushes for this, and I think I will go with George Brent as Dr. Frederick Steele in “Dark Victory” ( 1939 ). He’s definitely great eye candy, and I’m in awe of his character in this.

Hi! I hope to have my Susie Diamond review done soon. Slight correction to your post – it’ll be at my personal blog, Words Seem Out of Place (https://wordsseemoutofplace.blogspot.com/). Two INFJ Film Junkies blog hasn’t really launched yet, but hopefully soon! It’s a collaborative effort between a friend and me. So, stay tuned for that! I’ll post here once I have the Susie piece up at Words. Thanks!

If I can, at this very late stage, I’d like to throw my hat into the ring, and post on my His Fame Still Lives Blog, about Floreal Rameau, the Anti Hero on which Rudolph Valentino’s character in the lost A Sainted Devil (1924) was based. I’m crazy about the individual and the story itself: Rex Beach’s Rope’s End. Please let me know!
